fnatic star Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson is the recipient of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of the WESG 2017 World Finals by HLTV.org and betway.
The 23-year-old takes the medal thanks to his remarkable consistency throughout the event, having averaged a 1.30 rating after posting 1+ ratings in all but one of the 16 maps that he played in Haikou.
Space Soldiers star Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş was the other favourite for the award heading into the final, with Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Ahmet "paz" Karahoca also in consideration.
Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson was fnatic's highest-rated player in four of their six group matches and also in the quarter-final series against MVP PK, in which he remarkably registered a 2.41 rating on Inferno.
The Swedish talent featured in the event's stats leaderboards in seven categories, including KDD (+102), percentage of rounds with at least one kill (58.2%), damage difference per round (21.6) and total opening kills (57).
This is the first MVP award given to KRIMZ, who has had a dream start to 2018, boasting an average 1.27 rating on LAN after four events, two of which fnatic won.
